Mishon Peck, LCSW

Clinical Therapist

Mishon Peck is a licensed clinical social worker who provides compassionate, connection-focused therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She believes therapy should feel safe, supportive, and deeply attuned, offering a space where clients—and parents—feel truly seen and understood as they navigate anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm.

Mishon specializes in working with children and teens experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, low self-esteem, and social stressors, as well as adults and women navigating identity, relationship concerns, and the effects of complex trauma. She also provides guidance and support to parents who want to better understand and nurture their child’s emotional growth.

Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and strengths-focused, integrating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy and expressive interventions, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness-based practices, somatic and polyvagal-informed approaches, and parent coaching. Mishon works at a pace that feels gentle and manageable, helping clients build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and stronger relationships.

Mishon offers both in-person and telehealth services, with availability for evening and Saturday appointments.

She earned her Master of Social Work from Boise State University and her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University. Mishon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds multiple specialized certifications, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child and Adolescent Anxiety Treatment, Trauma-Focused Play Therapy, the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, and Youth Mental Health First Aid. She has been practicing at The Counseling Place since 2026.

As both a therapist and a mom, Mishon brings a deeply personal understanding of the healing journey. Her own experiences inform her compassionate, grounded approach and her belief that healing happens when people feel safe, supported, and connected. She is passionate about helping individuals and families build resilience, confidence, and meaningful connection.
