Frequently Asked Questions

For Clients

  • We offer several options. You can pay online through our payment portal above. Click the link to find your therapist, enter the patient’s name and DOB and follow the directions. You may also send a check or money order made out to your therapist or preferably pay your therapist directly at your appointment.

Our office manager, Jen, is available Monday through Friday 8 to 4 to check your balance and pay by phone: 585-710-9563. You may also use a credit, debit or HSA card at the office.

  • All therapists at the Boike Professional Building accept Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and most accept other insurance as well. Visit each therapist's page to find out if they accept your insurance or call our office manager for more information about insurances accepted. Although each therapist determines which insurance they accept, Excellus BC/BS, Aetna, MVP, Fidelis, United Health Care, Medicare, Cigna and Carelon are all accepted by some of our therapists.

  • The Boike Professional Building has the highest standards for psychologists and social workers in the area, which is why the demand is so great for our providers. Many of our therapists do have a waiting list, but depending on the type of services you need, and turn around time of other patients, we may be able to schedule you within a week or two. We will do our best to get you in as quickly as possible, especially if you are willing to take the first available therapist for your needs. We frequently hear that meeting with our therapist was worth the wait especially after they tried other places without  the progress they achieve here.

  • Yes. All of our therapists offer a telehealth option through our HIPAA compliant electronic medical records platform, Simple Practice, which can be easily accessed by phone or computer.

  • All therapists have a page on this website explaining their specialties, style and insurances accepted. Our office manager can also help you find the best fit from among our therapists. Therapy here is more likely to be successful and completed more quickly as we all use evidence based practices for your particular concerns.  Our therapist turnover rate is also very low, so you are more likely to be able to come in for a tune up and see the same therapist you had success with earlier.

Occasionally, the first person you are matched with is not the right fit, and all our therapists understand that.  You can easily reschedule with another therapist here if that should happen.

  • No. We serve Ontario, Monroe, Yates, Wayne, Seneca, Livingston, Steuben, and Onondaga counties for in person therapy. Telehealth also allows us to see New Yorkers beyond this region depending on insurance.

  • We do not currently offer ADOS testing for autism.

  • Yes, two of our psychologists are currently offering psychological testing outside the course of normal therapy for children and adults.

  • Most of our providers request 24 hours notice if you need to cancel without being charged. However, life happens, and some insurance policies don’t allow no show fees, so talk to your therapist about their policies.

  • Yes. We have a back entrance that services wheel chairs and walkers with access to the waiting room, handicap accessible rest room and most offices on one level.
