Alexis Dingy, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker

Alexis Dingy is a Clinical Social Worker who offers a compassionate, person-centered approach to therapy. She believes meaningful change begins by meeting clients exactly where they are, creating a space that feels safe, respectful, and supportive from the very first session.

Alexis works with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, stress, substance use concerns, and challenges within difficult relationships. She understands that many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure where to begin, and she strives to help them build clarity, resilience, and practical tools for moving forward.

Her approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and faith-integrated counseling when desired. Alexis balances insight-oriented work with skill-building strategies, helping clients not only understand their patterns but also feel equipped to create meaningful change in their daily lives.

Clients often describe Alexis as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. She offers both in-person and telehealth sessions, with evening availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to help accommodate busy schedules.

Alexis earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Roberts Wesleyan University. She began practicing at The Counseling Place in 2026.

Outside of the therapy room, Alexis enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting. She considers it a true honor and privilege to walk alongside clients during some of life’s most difficult moments and to be trusted in the process of healing.

Alexis welcomes the opportunity to support you as you take steps toward growth and well-being.
