Diane C. Hahn, Psy.D.

Child & Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Diane Hahn is a Child and Clinical Psychologist who provides thoughtful, evidence-based care for children, teens, and families. She takes a collaborative and goal-oriented approach to therapy, working closely with young clients and their caregivers to build practical skills, strengthen relationships, and support emotional and developmental growth.

Dr. Hahn works with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and grief and loss. She also has extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism spectrum and neurodivergent adversities, developmental challenges, and social skills deficits and development. In addition, she works with families navigating complex transitions such as separation, divorce, adoption, reunification, and blended family dynamics, with a strong focus on strengthening parent-child relationships.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, play therapy, creative art therapies, and mindfulness-based strategies. Dr. Hahn individually tailors treatment for each child’s developmental needs and works closely with families to help translate insights from therapy into practical support at home and school.

In addition to therapy, Dr. Hahn provides comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. These evaluations may include cognitive, academic, social-emotional, behavioral, adaptive functioning, and executive functioning assessments, as well as evaluations for ADHD and parenting or child custody matters.

Dr. Hahn earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology and her Bachelor of Science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She has been practicing at The Counseling Place since 2014 and offers both in-person and telehealth appointments, with evening availability and Saturday appointments available upon request.

Dr. Hahn welcomes the opportunity to partner with children and families in building insight, strengthening skills, and supporting healthy development.
